On Friday, April 20th, we picked our favorite plant eating dinosaur and modeled it with play dough. We made a big ball for the body, a snake for the tail and used toothpicks for legs and arms if they had them. Afterwards, we glued some leaves for them to eat, since they were plant-eaters!

Patterns, Patterns, Dinosaur Patterns
In Ms. Munne's group she read little books on Patterns; then we made a pattern with dinosaurs on the flannelboard and last we used dinosaur stamps to make a pattern on paper. We got lots of practice creating and following patterns in this group!
The Big Badaboom Puppet Show
When we came in from the story time outside, Ms. Munne had prepared a puppet show for us! She told the story of how the dinosaurs died in the big explosion (the big badaboom) caused by the asteroid that hit the earth 65 million years ago. After the meteor hit, a cloud of dust and ashes covered the atmosphere, volcanoes began erupting and contributed to the ash cloud, giant
earthquakes and tsunamis hit various regions of the earth killing even more dinosaurs. One year after the impact all the dinosaurs in the world had died out. The only species to survive were turtles, some crocodiles, sharks, fish and some small mammals.
