Talking About Amphibians

Ms. Munne drew a frog on the posterboard and we talked about all the things we knew about frogs.
Ms. Munne wrote what we were saying.
Some of our friends talked a lot others didn't talk at all.
We looked at the frog, it was in a jar.
It was dead, we could not touch it
We also talked about why the frog died.
Many thought the frog died because he was in the water.
Ms. Munne explained that it died before it was put in the water.
We liked looking at the frog.
It bobbed up and down when we turned the jar.

Carnaval!

 Lovely costumes!
 Nice poses!
 A little shy!
 Puttng on the costumes...
 ...and dancing!
There was no Carnaval music, but they made their own and danced too!
They had lots of fun dancing round and round the mat!
 There they go again...

Counting Frogs

In Ms. Munne's group we played with frogs and then fished some frogs.
Next, we colored the lily pads for our frogs.
We fished the frogs and counted them.
We organized the frogs in a line so that it would be easier to count.
We traced the number of frogs we fished.
Then, we counted frog cut-outs to place on our lily pads.
Lisa organized her frogs very well!
 One, two, three...
 ...four, five, six...
Bia counted her frogs many, many times!
Felipe traced his numbers very carefully.
Anna also took care in tracing her numbers.
Bia still counting...
Carol fished more than 20 frogs, and sorted them by color.
Harry and Nanda counting and tracing their numbers...very concentrated, both of them!

Painting Salamanders

In Ms. Eli's group we painted salamanders; salamanders are amphibians.
We chose the color of our salamanders and if we wanted to put stripes or spots.
I wanted a white salamander with black spots.
Me too, mine will also be white with black spots!

How Does the Frog Grow?

Ms. Larissa explained about the frog cycle.
We looked at pictures in the book.
 We talked about the pictures
Then we colored the frog cycle pictures and traced the numbers in pairs.
My partner is not here helping me!
Many of our friends traveled, so our group was very small.
I'm tired!

The Lady and The Crocodile

We also role played the song The Lady and The Crocodile.
The person in front was the crocodile and the person in back, the lady.
In the end, the crocodile eats the lady: the crocodiles hugged the ladies, pretending to eat them!

Five Green And Speckled Frogs

During circle time we sang an role played the song Five Green and Speckled Frogs!
We had lots of fun!!
