What Can You Do By Yourself?

 We talked about things we can do by ourselves and things we need the help of an adult.  We looked a many sequence cards.

 We then drew in our journals: what I can do by myself.

I'm thinking, what can I do by myself?

Before we drew we talked about things we could do by ourselves...

And things we could only do with adult help.

Counting Babies

 We talked about what babies can't do and that we can do; and then Ms. Munne read the Boo Hoo Baby.

 We counted the number of babies we wanted and then glued them.

 After we glued the babies, we traced the number of babies we counted.

 I counted 5 babies.

I have six babies, Ms. Munne.

 Before we counted our babies, Ms. Munne read the Boo Hoo Baby.

 We talked about what babies can and can't do.

 This is a diaper!

 We examined the diaper.

We don't wear diapers anymore!

I Was a Baby and Then I Grew Up

 First, we traced our names.

 Some names are short, like mine, so I finished really fast!

 Other names are longer and take longer to trace, too!

 Look, Ms. Munne I finished my name!

 Very concentrated on the work.

 I'm done, Ms. Munne.

 Next, we glued our baby pictures and our pictures as we are now.

 We also glued our names on the Then I Grew Up part.

Afterwards, we put both parts together, and Ms. Munne will put them on the wall.

Hand Turkeys

 We cut circles for the turkey body.

 We picked the color we wanted, red, orange, yellow, gree or brown.

 We drew the turkey faces.

 We traced our hands for the turkey feathers.

 Ms. Larissa sang the Five Fat Turkey song before we started working.

 We put our turkey together on another piece of paper.

 We did everything by ourselves.

Our turkeys came out very nice.

Thanksgiving Patterns

 We had turkeys, indians and pilgrims to create our pattern.

 First, we created the pattern with no glue.

 Then we glued our cut-outs.

My pattern was turkey, indian, pilgrim!

Thanksgiving Week: Five Fat Turkeys Are We

We slept all night in a tree,

When the cook came around, we couldn't be found

That's why were are here you see!



Thanksgiving Week: Pilgrims or Indians Puppets

We made hand puppets on Monday, November 21st, 2011.

 Ms. Munne and Ms. Larissa traced our hands.

 We could choose to make a Pilgrim or an Indian.

 For the Indians we colored our fingers to make the feathers.

 We drew eyes, nose and mouth for our puppets

The Indians were very popular with the girls, most boys chose Pilgrims.
