Egyptian Patterns

With Ms. Munne we made patterns on the flannelboard.  We could choose from pyramids, camels, Pharaoh's Crook and crocodiles.  We created our pattern and then we had to repeat it.  After we had done our patterns on the flannelboard, we did the same thing with the paper cut-outs: we created a pattern and repeated it.

The Pharaoh and His Things

We "read" the Little Book with Ms. Munne and then we cut and assembled our own little books.  After cutting and putting the book together, we colored the pictures.  We also "read" our little books with Ms. Munne.  The title of the book is The Pharaoh and His Things.

Egyptian Math

Ms. Larissa showed us the example and we counted the objects up to 7.  We had to take the correct number of objects from the bowl.  Ms. Larissa would say: "Take two papyruses" or "Take four temples" and so on.  We would then glue the cut-outs we took under the correct number.

Pharaoh's Boat

With Ms. Eli we made a boat for the Pharaoh.  We twisted butcher paper and then we gathered the strips together with rubber bands.  When the boat was assembled, we put the seats: or broken popsicle sticks.
