We "read" the Little Book with Ms. Munne and then we cut and assembled our own little books. After cutting and putting the book together, we colored the pictures. We also "read" our little books with Ms. Munne. The title of the book is The Pharaoh and His Things.
Through this blog parents will be able to see their child(children) engaged in various activities throughout the school year.

Egyptian Math
Ms. Larissa showed us the example and we counted the objects up to 7. We had to take the correct number of objects from the bowl. Ms. Larissa would say: "Take two papyruses" or "Take four temples" and so on. We would then glue the cut-outs we took under the correct number.
Pharaoh's Boat
With Ms. Eli we made a boat for the Pharaoh. We twisted butcher paper and then we gathered the strips together with rubber bands. When the boat was assembled, we put the seats: or broken popsicle sticks.

Pyramids and Mummies
On Monday we talked about pyramids. During storytime we made a poster on all the things we know about pyramids: Ms. Munne drew and wrote what we were saying.
We then chose the color of pyramid we wanted, cut the triangle for the door and spread glue on the rest of the pyramid.
After we were done with the glue we threw sand on it so that it feels like a real pyramid.
Later we will make a popsicle mummy to put inside the pyramid.
After we made our pyramids, we made mummies.
We wrapped the mummies...
Cut a picture of the mummie's head to put on our popsicle mummy.
