The Nile is a Long, Long River

 Ms. Larissa talked about the Nile: it is in Egypt and it is the longest river in the world.

 She showed us Egypt on the globe.

 We then looked at books and pictures of Egypt.

 Ms. Larissa then reminded us of long and short and told us to try to make long lines with the unifix cubes.

 We worked in pairs.

 Matheus, Bernardo and Bia Gomes worked on a very, very long L!

Carol and Lisa made an interesting line; it was very long.

 Afterwards, we painted strips of paper blue that we will use to "build" a Nile on Friday.
